The past couple days have been full of adventures taking some photos I have meant to take for a long time! Every day on my drive to and from work I admire the beauty of the valley, and every day I tell myself that I am going to go out and capture it. Well finally after a good 2 weeks I did just that! The sunset was spectacular yesterday and I just couldn't help but to snag a couple photos! I also wanted to get out a few evenings in the summer and get some photos of the Aurora Borealis (aka Northern Lights.) For some reason I always had an excuse or was "to busy" to do it. When I drove home tonight it was dark, and I could clearly see the lights dancing throughout the sky. That was it, no more excuses! I grabbed my gear and headed to a construction site near by. When I was out capturing the aurora it was 0 degrees, and anyone that knows me knows that I am almost always cold. Needless to say I was not very prepared for the cold and only lasted about 15 minutes before packing up my gear and heading back home. I managed to get a couple photos on my first time out, and I couldn't be happier! The Aurora is supposed to be strong again tomorrow so I am hoping to go give it another shot!
